Turkey Shoot

This Year saw a change to the
format of our Turkey shoot,

Instead of 40 targets being
shot over one day we
thought we’d change this to
having 50 targets shoot
over two days, This by it’s
self also created a small
problem of having to set
out 30 targets for Saturday,
so to solve this we thought
we’d try splitting the targets
so that we would shoot 25
Saturday and the same Sunday.

As a result this seams to have
work very well, making it
easier to set ranges but also
having more to shoot Sunday
while leaving room for some
spectacle shooting on Saturday
by some of our competitors
entering the SPEED ROUND.

Being the First time we have
tried this we wasn’t too sure
how it was going to work,
but from some patience from
you all and a lot of help from
club members everyone who
entered had a great time trying
to shoot five targets

(not Turkeys this time)
in the fastest time but having
to maintain a good score, Not an easy thing to do after
you run down the hill and try
to keep that pin on target while
your heart rate goes through the
roof. In the end the winner was
the Flying Nigel Sethack, who
after his first attempt, when he
tripped over half way though
and knocked his sight off, went
back, fixed the bow and then
re-shot his round. Not a bad
effort at all.

Thankyou’s have to go to Elva
for the canteen Chris, John, Lincoln,
Adrian for the ranges and every one
else who helped out. As with out
your input these events just don't run,
Thank you….

Canga Cash Challenge
Once again Canga Archery Supplies has put up $300 first prize for the highest score on a pre-selected Caboolture Club Shoot.

The Intent of the event is to promote club shoot participation and offer those archers who qualify ,a chance to win prize money to the value of $300 for first place. In the event of a tie 1st place will be determined by a shoot-off.

There is also a prize pool to which the more archers participate the bigger the pool, All money received will be paid back out as prize money, the amount and number of paid placing will be dependant on the amount of entrants..

Qualifying is easy, attend 3 Caboolture shoots excluding the series shoot and entry will cost you $15 or if you can’t attend three shoots then the entry fee is $30. Paid placing and amount to be paid is dependant on numbers.

To even things up a little if you shoot unaided (bare bow) you are given an extra ten points per round, so come on take the Canga Cash Challenge
